Question 1: What should I expect with a brand new cabinet?
Answer: Since we seal our cabinets inside and out, it's common to notice a light "new cabinet" scent at first. The inside is coated with food-safe shellac to keep your storage fresh and uncontaminated, and the outside is finished with a long lasting lacquer to protect the wood. This scent will fade naturally within 30 days.
Question 2: What is the processing and shipping time for orders?
Answer: The processing time for orders typically ranges from 5 to 7 business days before shipping. Once your order is processed, we ensure swift shipping to get your orders to you in a timely manner.
Question 3: Can I customize my cabinet or travel case?
Answer: Absolutely! We can engrave names, logos or designs to make your piece one-of-a-kind. Just send us a message before ordering, and we'll be happy to create something custom for you.
Question 4: Are the king sized cases and 5-roll cases big enough for larger rolls or blunts?
Answer: Yes! Our king sized and 5-roll cases are designed to fit blunts, king sized roll ups, and up to 14mm doinks, giving you versatile storage for all of your favorites.
Question 5: What materials do you use for your cabinets and cases?
Answer: Most of our Stash Cabinets and cases are made with red oak hardwood for strength and durability. All materials are ethically and locally sourced, and finished with food safe, non toxic sealant.
Question 6: Where are your products made?
Answer: Every Kinerack product is handcrafted in the U.S. in-house by house. We carefully source our materials, primarily red oak and select custom hardwoods, from ethical and local suppliers. We ensure our production process is sustainable and responsible, creating high quality, long lasting pieces while maintaining our commitment to ethical practices.
Question 7: How does the storage affect odor?
Answer: While the cabinets and cases are not fully airtight, storing your tobacco or flower in sealed bags or glass jars inside them can help to reduce the spread or aroma. The main focus of our product is organization, safety and durability.
Question 8: How do I care for my cabinet or case?
Answer: Wipe with a soft cloth as needed. Avoid harsh cleaners. Over time, the natural wood will develop a rich character, making your piece even more unique.
Question 9: Will light affect my herbs?
Answer: Yes, prolonged exposure to light (along with air) can cause herbs to oxidize and lose quality over time. That’s why it’s always best to keep them sealed and stored in a dark environment. We recommend checking out our How to Store Herbs page for the best long-term storage methods, like freezing larger amounts and using jars or bags for smaller portions.
That said, our cabinets with the lighting option are designed with this in mind. When closed, they provide a completely dark storage environment. The built-in motion-sensor lights only turn on briefly when needed, and the low-level exposure is no different than the ambient light in a room—so you can enjoy viewing your herbs through our magnifying jars without worrying about quality being compromised.
Question 10: Why is my object blurry through the magnifying lens?
Answer: If your object appears blurry through the magnifying lid, it could be due to overfilling the jar. The ideal distance from the magnifying lid to the closest item is 50 millimeters. Smudges can also cause blurriness. Additionally, we recommend cleaning the lid for smudges regularly to ensure optimal clarity and viewing experience.
Question 11: How do I clean the magnifying lens?
Answer: For cleaning the magnifying lid, we suggest using water and a soft lens cloth for mild smudges. For more stubborn smudges or larger cleanings, a gentle detergent and a lens cloth work well. Avoid using Windex, harsh chemicals or paper towels, as they may cause damage to the magnifying surface.
Question 12: Can you use the magnified jar lid on other jars?
Answer: Yes, absolutely! Our regular mouth magnified jar lids are designed to fit on all regular mouth 4 oz - 32 oz mason jars, providing versatility and convenience for your storage needs. Mix and match the colors and styles to customize your magnified storage.
Question 13: How do I tell the difference between a wide mouth and regular mouth mason jar to know what size lid insert i need?
Answer: To determine the size of your mason jar lid, simply measure the band diameter. A regular mouth lid measures about 2 3/4 inches in diameter, while a wide mouth lid measures 3 3/8 inches in diameter. This way, you can ensure you have the correct size lid insert for your jars.
